Northwest Diné Jewelry - Pacific Northwest totemic jewelry brand logo

Northwest Diné Jewelry was born from a simple desire: for me, a Tlingit Formline artist, to create Pacific Northwest totemic jewelry for my wife to wear. Since then, that simple act has blossomed into a true artistic partnership.

But my wife, a talented Diné (Navajo) artist and creator, is the inspiration and a guiding voice in our entire design process. While the primary artistic style is rooted in my Tlingit heritage, her spirit, her aesthetic, and sometimes her own handiwork weave into everything we create.

Together, our brand is the story of our life together – a fusion of the Pacific Northwest and the Desert Southwest, a conversation between two powerful cultures. And every piece is a testament to our partnership, handcrafted by us in our Washington studio.

Pacific Northwest Totemic Jewelry: Our Collections

1. The Formline Collection

First, this is the foundation of our work. Earrings featuring a single, powerful Formline figure, we laser-cut each piece from authentic Western Red Cedar and meticulously hand-painted. As a result, this collection is the pure, modern expression of classic Tlingit design principles.

2. The Cascade Collection

Named for the Cascade mountains and the way these pieces cascade down when worn, this Pacific Northwest totemic jewelry collection explores complexity and visual rhythm. Also, multiple interlocking Formline elements layer together to create a more intricate and dynamic design.

3. The Signature Collection: Formline + Beadwork

Here, our two worlds meet. In many ways, this special collection is the culmination of our collaboration – the definitive example of Pacific Northwest totemic jewelry. Here, I also unite my hand-painted cedar Formline with the vibrant, meticulous beadwork of my wife, blending Tlingit form with Diné artistry.

An Exclusive, Small-Batch Collection

To honor the spirit of true craftsmanship, we create our our jewelry collections in small, dedicated batches and do not sell directly online at this time. Because of this, we believe the best way to experience the detail and energy of these pieces is in person.
